A Closer Look’s President is Don Bortoluzzi who earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Manitoba. Don has augmented his engineering degree and real estate experience with a designation as a home inspector with the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors.

With over 30 years experience in building homes, apartments, townhouses and developing and renovating large shopping centre complexes, Don is well qualified to help protect your investment in a home by checking all the home’s major systems and components. His thoroughly conducted inspections provide you greater knowledge of the home and reduce your risk and stress. His training as a Home Inspector includes extensive courses offered by Carson Dunlop and Associates, a highly regarded Toronto based home inspection company that has conducted over 60,000 home inspections.

Don's other activities have included being the President of the Calgary Homebuilders, a Director of a Calgary community association, Chairperson of the City of Calgary Calhome Properties, Director of the Calgary Homebuilders Charitable Foundation and the recipient of several awards for his contributions to the housing industry and for innovative housing projects.
