Pre-Owned Homes --- Know in advance the approximate magnitude of money you may have to spend to rectify issues with major components of the home. There are no perfect homes.
Pre-marketing Assessments --- The knowledge you gain form A Closer Look’s review of the major components of your home, prior to listing it for sale, can be used to forewarn you of the concerns a prospective buyer may have and eliminate the surprise negotiations when an offer to purchase is received. You can then price the home to reflect the problems, if any, or undertake yourself reasonable repairs and replacements.
Renovations --- if you are considering a home renovation, A Closer Look can assist you by reviewing and documenting the prior condition of your home, offering you conceptual design ideas and alternative construction techniques, help formulate the contract with the general contractor and inspect the construction during and at the end of the renovation. Anticipating major construction surprises can readily justify the fee.

Thoroughness: A Closer Look’s Inspection Report contains over 350+ items that form the basis of the review of a home. It is accompanied by the 400 page Home Reference Book, a $95 value included for free. The Home Reference Book is comprehensive in its description of the components of a home and at the same time, the diagrams and writing style make it easy to read and understand.
Choose us with Confidence: Our Satisfaction Guarantee (button) is simple; if at the end of the inspection you are not satisfied with the extent of the inspection or dissatisfied with our conduct you do not pay for the inspection.
Follow-Up: Our Technical Phone Support (button) is available to you as long as you own the home. Call if you have a question about any element of the home. We have over 1,500 diagrams of a home’s components that can be faxed or e-mailed to you to graphically aid in your understanding of how elements of your home work.
Education features: During the inspection you will gain extensive knowledge on how the home was built as well as how it operates. The Home Reference Book and our Technical Phone Support augment this experience.
